01 The Challenge
cRc Kosher envisioned an app that would simplify kosher living – an all-in-one resource for quick and reliable information on certifications, ingredient statuses, and approved food establishments.
The app had to be both comprehensive and easy to use, ensuring that anyone—from seasoned kosher consumers to those just starting their journey—could access what they needed immediately. Balancing these priorities became the core challenge of the project.
02 The Solution
Altamira team delivered a cRc Kosher app for iOS and Android platforms, featuring a huge library of kosher products, Hechsher logo scanner powered by image recognition technology, and the ability to search across all lists within the app for quick access to the information you need.
On top of it, our team spent months training an AI module to accurately recognise specific logos associated with kosher products. Through extensive data collection, fine-tuning, and iterative improvements, we ensured the system can reliably identify these logos across various conditions, including different angles, lighting, and image qualities.
The used technologies include React, TypeScript, React Router, TanStack Query, and Axios.
