About The Club
The Club is a bold entry into the music streaming space. Our Client envisioned a mobile-first platform that helps DJs stream their sets live and earn money from their content. For fans and clubbers, the app would offer a front-row experience, from discovering rising talent to throwing a home party with a live set from anywhere in the world.
The idea was clear. What the Client needed was a tech partner who could turn it into a solid product, one that combined live streaming, social interaction, and smart monetisation. Our team took it from concept to launch.

01 The Challenge
The DJ set experience rarely leaves the club. If you’re not there, you miss out. At the same time, existing live-streaming services, such as Instagram Live, Facebook Live, Twitch, and Mixcloud, aren’t tailored to the needs of DJs. These platforms fall short in terms of discoverability, monetisation, and the vibe that makes a live set special.
Our client set out to change that by:
- Giving DJs a dedicated space to broadcast sets
- Letting fans drop into performances easily
- Providing DJs with direct ways to earn
- Laying the groundwork for premium features like merch sales and subscriptions
From the very beginning, we aligned on a focused MVP: DJs go live, users tune in, donations are possible. Getting this right was key. To succeed, the app had to get three things right: a smooth user experience, reliable streaming, and an easy way to pay. Our team brought the product thinking and engineering muscle to shape it into a viable app.
However, as with any project, a few technical challenges surfaced along the way:
- Low-latency video streaming on mobile
- Clean transitions between DJ and listener views
- Smooth integration of monetisation without disrupting the experience

Fans can support DJs through external donation links. (Future updates plan to include in-app currency for seamless microtransactions.)

We added basic discovery features to make it easier to explore and follow DJs.
We built the app around fast, low-latency streaming, a user-friendly interface tailored to music lovers, and a backend strong enough to handle real-time traffic.
03 The Result
With the MVP launched, The Club achieved its first milestone: a platform tailored to DJs, not just generic live streamers. Each core feature was aligned with a specific business goal:
- Streaming feature allowed DJs to reach an online audience they’d previously missed.
- Live event creation gave DJs more control over how and when to perform.
