The real estate sector was grappling with several deeply ingrained issues that hampered the renting process and undermined tenant satisfaction. At the heart of these challenges lied the manual approach to maintenance and request management, as well as manual rent collection and invoice management, which led to error-prone financial transactions.

Furthermore, the communication gap between tenants, landlords, and property managers presented a significant barrier to effective problem-solving and relationship-building. The absence of a streamlined communication channel meant that resolving issues was often tedious, marked by delays.

Additionally, the scattered nature of critical business data across various platforms and systems made it difficult to manage and secure important information efficiently. This disorganisation not only posed security risks but also worsened the property management function, further deepening the challenges faced by the industry.

The Solution

Altamira team responded to these challenges by developing PropsTech, a cloud-based mobile rental property management solution designed to automate and simplify the core processes involved in long-term property leasing.

Our experts have successfully implemented the solution, incorporating two innovative features:

  • Issue management – an open system designed for tenants to report and track malfunctions or performance issues within applications.
  • Payment management – presented in a form of transparent history of all transactions with receipts and management of all payments to streamline the invoicing and payment process.

 

Apart from this, the solution featured distinct applications tailored for property owners, tenants, and managers, each with specialised functionalities.

Our approach was user-centric, focusing on ease of use, efficiency, and automation to tackle the identified challenges. The application supported real-time notifications and a digital knowledge-sharing community.

We chose Flutter for mobile application development to ensure a smooth and responsive user experience across both Android and iOS platforms, bolstered by Yii framework for back-end services. For the admin panel, our team chose PHP for its flexibility, allowing us to create a secure and efficient management interface.
